Gmail app notifications

When Gmail sends a notification for an email, you are given two options, "archive" and "reply". How can I change "archive" to "delete"?

Hi there 👋 and welcome.
You should go to Gmail app press and hold on whatever email you want to delete and on top you will have an option to delete, as i don't know there's option to delete from notifications section.

Thanks so much for the response. I have zero interest in going directly into the app, my sole focus is doing it from the notifications as I have a lot of emails to delete and it's much less time consuming this way. I am intimately familiar with how to delete the emails the traditional way through the app and am able to perform the desired function with my Pixel.

A valiant effort Sonora, however, this refers to actions performed within the app itself and does not change the actions available within the notification. I need to change the options within the red circle on the attachment.

I checked now. If you select delete in Gmail's General settings, then you will see this option in Notifications

I'm glad I helped you. At least you get notifications from Gmail, I have to open Gmail and only then see new e-mails 😂
