GIF option for AOD

A while back I recall that GIFs were able to be used for AlwaysOnDisplay while retaining a different wallpaper but I'm aware that can't be done anymore with recent updates. 

Will this feature ever return to users? As someone who enjoys customisation, I think it's a sublime feature for extra personalisation and I would really appreciate its return!

Hey, and welcome to the Samsung UK Forum. You can add a gif to your lock screen/AOD by using the clock face plug in on the goodlock app.

Hello, thank you kindly for your reply. I've tried and can see that it is possible, thank you for directing me. However is there a way I can use a custom GIF from my gallery as opposed to using the default GIFs available from the app itself?

Oh I totally didn't notice that lol. Thank you so much for showing me! I appreciate it! And just a final question (sorry for bombarding a few your way I forgot to ask this earlier), but do you know if it's possible to make it so that the GIF is only viewable when the phone is turned off and it doesn't obscure the lock screen itself?

There should be an option for "AOD" and not just lock screen, I'm not sure otherwise, Sorry!

If you have a gif, open it in the galary then tap the three dots in the top right, then tap set as wallpaper then tap always on display. Hope this helps. 😊

You don't need good lock for this to work

I know that already, but thank you! Though this option only allows enables me to set a GIF as the lock screen wallpaper instead of AOD 😕

It can be used as AOD but it doesn't disappear on the lock screen so the GIF obstructs the wallpaper. But that's fine, thank you for your help
