Gear s3 frontier not working with s24 ultra

I've just tried to set up my gear s3 frontier watch with my new s24 ultra and keep getting a message saying that Samsung no longer support this device. So what, - do I just chuck it in the bin now? 😡😡

I was using my Samsung S3 frontier up to yesterday morning when during a regular app update it has bricked. I am using it on now my 3rd phone. I have been in contact with Samsung to discuss a trade in and after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing they could not do anything as the S3 frontier is not even in the list of devices to trade in.

Only got the Samsung s24 ultra because of the 6.1 update that stopped the screen working on my s21 ultra now my s3 frontier is not compatible with the s24 ultra this is going to be my last Samsung phone after this they are turning into Apple with their poor customer service and their not taking responsibility for updates that breaks a perfectly good functioning £800 phone.

This is why I used to support Samsung over Apple. But now it seems Samsung are going down the same unscrupulous route of coercion, by crippling existing devices. The disappearance of the SD card expandible memory was the first step, now it's scuppering the accessories. I love my Gear S3 and it has been faithfully serving me until this upgrade to the S24 Ultra. No mention was made about compatibility with the Gear S3 when purchased or when checking reviews beforehand. I'm not happy about this.
