I have both ,s23u and upgraded to s24u because of the preorder deals here in uk.
I noticed few issues with my s24u's display:

1. A slight delamination at the bottom of the screen to both corners, exactly the same as s23u had(returned 2 units and the 3rd was perfect)

2. Brightness on adaptive or not ,indoors, is lower than s23u' display

3. Muted colours on s24u,vivid mode looks the same as natural

4.Grainy screen ,visible on low Brightness, especially on darker colours

On the last issue(4), I took some photos where i had both phones on min brightness, on exact same grey background, in pitch black room, used night mode to shot the pics.

Both phones side by side and i straight away i noticed that s24u looks grainy than s23u.
The photo of s24u's display appeared not grainy, but it has some weird pattern, some diagonal lines(check photos) and 3 more visible horizontal lines.

Can you please check if your units has these issues, including delamination

It is a hardware issue that cannot be fixed. If you have this defect return your phone.

Check out this post by a display scientist going in-depth on what's wrong and why you should return it.

Try a gray background on completely dark room with low brightness setting on natural profile and all eye comfort and other settings like adaptive color tone off. Then try to look at your phone screen very closely and also try to move your phone to see the screen in different angles.

The thing is Samsung refuses to acknowledge it as an issue and says it's a feature of the new panels. Thus they won't give a replacement until then, which sucks!

If the new batch of the phones will be different than what we have, then they will have no choice but exchanged ours.
I don't think it is a defect,but a new power efficient display.
The screen low brightness is much lower than s23u.
Too be honest I tried to watch on min brightness on my s24u at night in bed and I couldn't see the video properly, so i put the brightness a touch up,no more grain screen.
The only things Samsung probably will fix is vivid mode and banding issues.

Nope, they won't replace it if the return period is over. Their customer service sucks!

I believe it to be a defect since it's visible on mid-brightness as well for me on dark backgrounds. This wasn't the case with the previous S series and I couldn't see any pixes in any brightness levels.

Same issue and I need a confirmation from Samsung so the dealer will replace it, but I guess Samsung Switzerland won't confirm it and my return period is running out next wednesday.

Switzerland doesn't have the 14 days return policy like the rest of the EU.
Some stores take it back like "Samsung" but charge you 20% only because the package was open.

They only replace it, if you can prove that something is wrong.

Indeed, these are the issues. I've purchased s24u 2 weeks ago. I can see grainy display at night or in dark, and the 3 lines are more visible with the screen gaurd.
