I have purchased this phone from an online uk shop, a friend has told me I should have checked if it is uk version, is this correct? I have not taken it out of the box yet in case I send it back. Is there anyway I can check.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Thank you for your question.

It is highly advisable to ensure your new device is for the region intended.

On the box there should be a label with the Serial Number and other information about your device. It should tell you on there which region you device is for before you open the box.

If it helps, pop a pic on here but redact part of the serial number and IMEI first along with anything that identifies you personally.

Hi there 👋 and welcome

You can check phones region on sites like this :
https://samfw.com/imei

But as mentioned some phones comes with stickers who indicates the region let's say "you have to use with (country name) sim card first" 1732303304773_1732303304767_0.jpg

CSC should be EUX if it's from UK. Among others if it's from network provider if its says from different region rather then UK then I suggest to return it, as you might find difficulties to receive updates, or constantly use smart switch app to update your phone or wait till that region releases updates. Best thing is to buy phone from Samsung directly or from high street retailers.

Hi @Jcdc1

Which online shop did you use 🤔

If you have any doubt then look at any relevant cooling off period.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

Hi @Jcdc1

I will join the other forum members on welcoming you to the community forum.

I think the first question is which online UK shop? If you are getting it from a reputable shop, the likelihood is that the phone is for the UK market.

CSC has changed lately and it depends whether the phone has been made for a particular network or it is an unlocked phone.

The fact that it says country Europe does NOT mean that the phone is not for the UK market.

If you wish to check it, please create a Samsung account, register your device and you should get accurate information whether the phone is for the UK market or not. You could also call Samsung support and check with them directly.

I bought my S24 Ultra from Samsung.com, there is no doubt on the provenance of my phone and if I check it on samfw.com I get country: Europe.

This is the screenshot of the output after I check my EMEI. Please note that I have changed EMEI, Serial Number and Product date for security reasons.
