Ive been comparing the specs of the cams from S22 series (which I had) with the S24 series and the camera specs are the same but S24 series cameras gave a smaller camera. Is that a bezel being smaller or? Because many people including me have an issue with bad selfie and face recognition

Thanks on the help! S24 Ultra owner.

The only issue I have with the front camera is that face recognition isn't always accurate in low lighting.

Apart from that everything else is fine @Adi0

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

The selfie pics are rubbish on Samsung phones compared to the IPhone I'm afraid

I like the quality of the selfies, I just wish there was wider cropping to get more detail in the background and also to get better group selfies. I hope Samsung can do something about it with Software updates.

Hi @Adi0

What do yo mean by camera smaller? The punch hole? I have both the S22 Ultra and the S24 Ultra and both seems very similar.

I tried to take a picture of one on top of the other but it does not show well on my light conditions now. I will try tomorrow during the day.

I think the face recognition issues are due to some software issue. The photo mode can get really bad pictures, but selfies on portrait mode are impressive one could count every facial hair. The level of detail and colours are very good.

The camera still needs serious improvements and stability but it can take some really good pictures. It is a pity that the software has not been fine tuned as it should.
