I've only used Samsung S series for thr last 9 years, but S24 feels like an absolute downgrade... i've stuck with Samsung thinking they were superior when it came to cameras, however post processing on S24 series makes every photo worse!  After trying Every suggestion possible, i still haven't found one that works + i've given up hope they'll fix something in updates.

This will be my last Samsung phone after almost a decade all thanks to camera / post processing issue

You can turn post processing off if you don't like it. Camera, settings, intelligent optimisation, lower it or disable it

Hello 👋 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum @marika40

You can set it to minimum however it cannot at present be disabled.

I've seen past posts similar to yours and advise to send feedback directly to Samsung via your Samsung Members App too so hopefully they may introduce this.

There is the Expert Taw app which may also help.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hiya

You've mentioned disabling this feature several times but haven't found it in settings.

For the benefit of all users, can you please define how to do this?

Has even been pointed out in an article by Android Authority that the S24 has still four problems that hasn't been fixed and are hoping that it has been finally addressed before the new S25 is released but we'll have to see on that issue.

How naive 😆  Ideally, this should have been how it works, but setting to minimum does Notstop photo post processing! Some say tgat its the Samaungs gallery app at fault and i've tried disabling permissions and using Google photos instead, but post processing still takes place, you just don't see the wheel spinning

I'm half convinced that not having this issue will be their main selling point for S25 series 😆😆😆

Open the camera app, press the cog in the top left, press intelligent optimisation, set it to minimum. I said almost the same in my previous reply

You have mentioned "disable it" on several occasions in the last few days which implies it can be turned off.

Can you please advise how?
