Fingerprint sensor not working after 6.1 Software update

Hi,

I updated my software to 6.1 on the Galaxy S24 Ultra  2 days ago, immediately after the update everything was fine, today the fingerprint sensor doesn't work at all. I restarted the phone countless times, I even closed it and left it closed for 10 minutes, then I restarted it and it still doesn't work, it keeps telling me "The fingerprint sensor is not responding. Try again later". I even tried to delete the fingerprints and add new ones but it won't let me tell me "Fingerprint sensor not working. If this keeps happening, restart your phone." I don't know what to do anymore.

Do you have any ideas?

Hi. Also make sure all apps are updated in both Samsung and Google store

This fixed my FP scanner. Try going into settings > general management > reset > reset accessibility settings > reset settings. Then restart phone and try again if not boot into safe mode by
 -   First, completely power off the phone.
 -   Turn on the device, and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume Down button.
-    If done correctly, “Safe mode” will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If “Safe mode” does not appear, repeat the previous steps.
Then restart to get it off safe mode and see if that fixes it.

Did it work then?? i'm in the same position, I have an S22 and suddenly the same problem appeared to me as yours. I've tested everything except factory resetting the phone and nothing solved it.

I did it but did not fix the problem. I am on firmware S928BXXS4AYB8 One UI 6.1

I think this firmware has a bug on fingerprint sensor. It stopped working a few days after I updated the phone.

It is so weird that an official firmware broke the phone.

I did factory reset, wipe partition, reset all settings, flash firmware again using odin. All did not fix the issue. I plan to install one ui 7 beta or previous releases.

Samsung is very bad on firmware updates. I am thinking to switch Google Pixels phone to get updates without any problem.

Installed one ui7 stable release today still could not fix fingerprint issue. It keeps saying restart your phone and does not detect my finger.
