I purchased my phone new in January, over the last few days l have noticed a warning sign pop up stating that l am very near to my mobile dater limit of 12 gb, on speaking to my provider 3 they have confirmed that l have nearly 12gb remaining, l then called Samsung technical team who after going through the settings told me it would need a factory reset, l then went back to 3 who went through the phone settings and told me to switch off both set data warning, and set data limit, this has stopped the warning notification popping up but still shows that l have reached my mobile data allowance, 3 have stated this should disappear when my new monthly cycle starts next month.
Is any one else experienced this. If so how did you overcome it

Not sure how it's all calculated either way.
But this has always been like this. Suspect that the phone includes WiFi data as well as mobile data
I just turn that stuff off and just let my network provider notify me or look on my network provider apps

Thank you for your quick response, that's what 3 told me, really pleased that l didn't go down the route of factory reset

This is incorrect, I am running 2 sims and wifi and I get readings and results for each sim card and wifi separately for one another. Sounds like three didn't change your data limit or data warning figures. Go to settings > connections > Data Usage > mobile data usage > click the cog symbol in the top right of the screen > data warning and change the figure. I suggest changing it to 2GB less than your total monthly allowance so you have a buffer. Here you can also switch on data limit and change it to what you need. Mine is accurate so hopefully this helps you, let me know.

Hey there

There is a setting on your device where you can manually put a limit in place to ensure you don't go over your allowance.

I think you've found yourself hitting that limit, nothing to do with your network.

Hi @FredPomroy

You will need to set the limit manually as explained by @Piper123

The default is 1 or 2 GB. It is not calculated by anybody. It is just a warning from the phone which can be change whenever you change your plan. I have set my warning to 1GB less than my limit.

As per what others have mentioned

There is also an option to manually set your date with your billing cycle so the phone knows.

Make sure you set all them accordingly.
