Facial recognition not working even in proper lighting

I have also set alternate facial appearance but still it doesn’t recognize me. Never had facial recognition problems on my apple 14 pro. Just bought this phone a week ago and it’s embarrassing.

It is indeed Subjective, but I am a firm believer that there is no smoke without fire.

I do not want to be entering my pin every time I log in. The finger print option is equally appalling, asking for multiple attempts to recognise. 

Every company does have pro's and con's but as I mentioned this is basic functionality that ALL users deserve as its a primary function.

Returning an item or getting a replacement is a weak argument to correct basic functionality. Not sure whether you work for Samsung or not, but I would appreciate if someone from Samsung could comment.

Hi @Prabh1619 ,

 

The best way to alert Samsung developers to software issues is to send error reports with log files to them via the Members app. Which can be done by:

 

As soon as you can after the issue occurs (within 15 minutes is best):

 

Samsung Members > Support > Send feedback > Error Reports > [select error type] > choose frequency of issue, and write an accurate and good description (and attach any screenshots/pictures/videos showing the issue if you want/are able to) > tick ‘Send system log data’ > Send (the > icon on the top right).

 

(Or, for a shortcut: Long-press the Samsung Members icon on the Apps screen, and select 'Error reports' from the dropdown menu, and follow the steps from there.)

 

That sends the report and log files for the Samsung developers to analyse.

And the more good error reports with log files the developers get on something the better for resolving it -- so I'd encourage anyone else experiencing the same issue(s) to send them too.

No phone company is obliged to put a specific feature on a phone. However, if there is a feature, like a fingerprint or facial recognition, then yes it should be working properly. It's working fine for me, so I can't relate to your problem.

If you post on this forum, you will get replies from other users suggesting advice, solutions or an opinion- which you may not like or disagree with and that is fine. People reply in their own time, are not obliged to and don't owe anything to anyone. It's just about trying to be helpful if possible.

If you want to speak to a Samsung employee, you will need to contact Samsung directly.

Thank you for trying to help. I ended up returning the device and going back to iPhone since I also needed other features like voice isolation due to my work. Maybe one day I’ll switch back to Samsung but it needs work in its current state.

I just bought a Samsung ultra s24 and face recognition is not working even my iPhone X working very effectively even through an angle

Here I was looking forward to going back to samsung and I'm experiencing the same thing, face recognition isn't working properly.  Disappointed 😞! I'm hoping to find answers here.
