For all those worried about the washed out colours on vivid mode.
There are news that Samsung has acknowledged the issue and it is working to fix it.
In this article from Forbes Samsung acknowledges Galaxy S24 Ultra Display issue.
It states that there is no hardware problem, and a fix is on the way.

Unless there is an official communication by Samsung, I don't trust it.

That is your prerogative.
Samsung had one of the longest support period, 4 major OS upgrades, and 5 years security. It has now 7 years for both. I think that is safe to assume that they will be releasing an update soon and one every month as they have been doing it so far.

It seems that they are not going to solve this issue as they are saying that screen is designed like this only. I was following the other thread on US forum, where they initially said that they are looking into it, but now they have changed it and saying that it's by screen design - https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S24/S24-colors-washed-out-and-AOD-missing-options/m-p/279...

That could be an interpretation. Samsung has a footnote (24) explaining the S24 Ultra screen.
The Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on Galaxy S24 Ultra received a certification from VDE Germany for 100 percent Mobile Colour Volume in the DCI-P3 colour range, which means your images aren’t washed out and you’ll get unbelievably vivid colours regardless of differing levels of brightness. The display can achieve peak brightness of up to 2600 nits, improving the contrast between dark and light aspects of digital content for a more brilliant picture quality, with a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio to make your mobile experience more immersive.
However, vivid mode is just a setting which changes saturation and intensity. At the moment, it is not working. "Fixing" it is a software update, it is not a hardware problem. As @Suz1008 mentioned, it is prudent to retain judgement, but it is not a difficult fix.
The screen works way better in daylight, it reduces reflections and when compare with previous models it is more visible. Hardware-wise is a very good screen.
I do understand that many might feel very disappointed. There are also valid concerns of being left with a very expensive device that they are not happy with. If this is a deal breaker, there is always the option of returning the phone and re-ordering it when more kinks has been ironed out.

I agree with your points. I understand that as it's a new screen, it will need little more tweaking on software front. And based on the feedback, Samsung will improve it over time. But at the moment, they are not acknowledging it even after so many people have already complained about it.
It's not going to take much efforts for their software team to see that "Vivid" mode is broken or it's at-least not that different than "Normal" mode. And they can quickly play around with some settings to see if it's improving the colors reproduction.
I was hopeful till the message said that there software team is looking into it. But as they have updated their message, I think that there team has already tried those early tweaks and changes, and come to the conclusion that it can't be fixed or improved. Otherwise, they wouldn't have updated it like that and and asked the users to play around with display settings on the One UI, which most of us have already checked and posted here that those settings don't change a thing.

I agree. People keep saying to wait for the fix, but samsung has not come out and say this officially. I do not trust customer support, as they have lied to me in the past, and made me jump around hoops because of their erroneous information. I kept the call numbers and names of the employees who gave me the wrong info, and the representatives kept hanging up on me, simply because I was telling them the same info they had given me. It was the most frustrating customer service experience I have ever had, and would rather return this phone than have to deal with them again. If Samsung does not come out with an official statement or fixes this within my return window, I will be retuning this phone. I wished they cared more about customer service and giving us answers when everyone online is talking about this.
