Disappearing photos

Anyone help me. I have the new s24 and overnight my pictures in my gallery have disappeared and heartbroken as pics of my best friend who passed away have vanished

Yes. If you can see them, then go back to your gallery app. Tap 3 lines top left. Tap Albums. Tap 3 dots top rh corner. Tap select essential albums. Tick everything. You should now see your albums with all the pictures in.

I do t even have that option. There are some pics there but not the ones I desperately want to find

Ensure the select essential albums setting is toggled on too.

Done that all I have is pointless pics I'm gon a ring samsumg tomorrow. The pics I've lost are irreplaceable they pics I can't replace as she's passed away 😔

I hope they manage to resolve this. If the albums are not listed under albums or the pictures are not showing in pictures, then I can't think what's happened to them. Is there any way you could of used a different gallery app?

No problem. If you can remember what any of the pictures or albums were called, even partial details, then go back to File manager (My files) and perform a search. The search will scan all locations and files on your phone, including in cloud storage (if set up). If the search doesn't find them, then they are gone, unfortunately.
