I use Google Maps a lot on my S24 Ultra, and that's the main reason my Samsung battery is draining very fast.
Should I put it in deep sleep? Will it affect the map?

Hi @jhigchvkh

Deep sleep will only stop the app from running in the background and receive notifications or updates to help save battery power.

However the app will work just fine when you launch it so no it won't affect the map or you using the app.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

And adding to that comment, putting it to deep sleep probably won't help in the OP's case as it's likely the foreground usage of Google maps that is draining the battery. Reducing brightness, refresh rate etc might help though.

You could download the offline maps and use it offline.
Google maps on mobile data will eat your battery like mad.

Obviously on offline mode you will loose the online facilities it offers.

Or you have to keep it charged if you are driving.

Just the offline maps is what I can think off.

If you use for driving you could try waze app. It's powered by Google as well as far as I know.
