Darken Screen when using SPen S24 Ultra

I would appreciate some advice please.

Scenario 1- when my screen is displaying any image, removing the SPen and selecting screen write display the image brightness as per original image

Scenario 2 (the issue) - retrieving a previously saved screen shot OR photo and removing the SPen to start writing on the "newly created" screen shot, the whole image or photo darkens.

Question - how do I get an image that is of normal brightness in Scenario 2?

I read another post on darken photos and checked my Gallery Settings and my Super HDR setting was turned off.

In my case, I get the darken effect on both image and photos as soon as I try to write with my SPen on a previously saved file.

Thank you.

I have had the same issue.  We spend all this money for the new device that is "BETTER" then all the previous models and then run into issues that either never get corrected or it takes months to correct.  This is why I stick with a phone for years before upgrading!  Ok that rant is over now onto the solution.

This issue only occurs for me when editing photos, all other apps/screens seem good to "screen write"

SOLUTION

1. Open Samsung Gallery App and select the picture to screen write

2. On the bottom of the screen select the "Pencil icon" also called the "Edit" option

3. Once in there it darkens the picture a little bit but you can use the brightness option to brighten it up and get it back to normal.

4. Once you are set with the color then select the "S Pen button" and then "Screen write".

5.  You can now write and then download.

We should not have to do all of this but here we are.  Hope this help and hope they fix this in an update soon!

Experienced the same issue and just tried to browse for possible solutions a few minutes ago.

What worked for me is Turning Off Super HDR. I hope this feature gets updated so that it doesn't affect Screenshots/Screen Write.

I would prefer to keep Super HDR On.
