Cannot stop selfie image and video from flipping

No matter how many times I changed the setting on my phone camera app to stop flipping the image and to keep it as the camera sees it it does not make any difference at all. I have tried clearing the cash I have tried clearing all data I have forced closed the app I have restarted the phone I've toggled the setting over and over and nothing makes any difference the camera still flips. I need to take a selfie of myself holding a book and I need the text to be showing the correct way and this is very irritating.

Yes I think since I've upgraded to the latest Android my camera is now flipping the selfie camera so that it correctly shows text.

I'm on a S24+ android version 15 according to the software info. Just installed the latest UI7 update too...which I don't like either. And this issue persists - although the toggle button makes no difference to what I see in selfie mode, when I leave it off, the selfie photo comes out the right way round although it still looks reversed to me in the camera preview. Not ideal- but atleast I can take selfies knowing they will look the right way round to others
