Cannot hear person in calls

Hi

I have an S24 and for some reason today when I make a phone call I cannot hear the person at the other end, but they can hear me perfectly fine. I can't even hear when the phone is ringing when I dial it. The audio works fine on everything else, and I can also make WhatsApp calls and hear perfectly fine, but if I just try to do a normal phone call it doesn't work. Is this a known issue and if so is there a way to get it working again?

I put my SIM card in my old S20 and I can make and hear calls perfectly fine so it is not a SIM card or network issue. I also downloaded the Google phone app and having exactly the same problem with that.

Seems like your speakers and microphone are ok then. When in a call ensure the volume is turned up and not muted.

Thanks, I found one online. I'll see if there are any other suggestions as to how to fix it before I take this action 👍🏻

Yes I tried that, the volume bar shows that it's on full. I tried lowering the volume and increasing it but it's still the same

You've done most of them but there's Safe mode and ultimately a full reset.

I just tried safe mode and it still doesn't work so I guess it's time to do a factory reset

Have you tried clearing the cache on your call app?
