After the recent update on the 22/7 I cannot hear callers who call OR when placing an outbound call I cannot hear them.

It was fine previously and no issues. Only seemed to happen after the recent update.

Funnily enough if you switch from 5g/4g to 3g it fixes the issue straight away. I also noticed that it's running hotter than normal after the last update. Again turning to 3g or turning data off seems to fix that.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Fyi. Using Vodafone in the UK

UPDATE: turning off 5G and using 3g (maybe 4g) fixes this OR in my case resetting your network settings permenantly fixed it for me.

UPDATE 18 SEP 24: So thought the issue was fixed BUT it's resurfaced. Since yesterday morning it's happening again (more so after last 6.1.1 update) switching to 3g fixed this but going back to 5g callers can't hear me. What a joke. Top of the range phone and callers can't hear me!! Vodafone is useless too. Already reset settings, using a new sim etc... paying for something that I cannot use....

This worked for me (from Vodafone):

"Dear Customer,

Touch Settings
Touch Connections
Scroll down and touch Mobile networks
Touch Network operators
Touch Search networks
Touch any network apart from Vodafone
Repeat the above steps
Touch Vodafone UK.

Thank You for Calling Vodafone."

This actually worked. Other suggestions didn't.

After an update I can't hear when people call me or I call them. Vodafone tried to rectify it, but they couldn't. I'm now being told that I will have wait until the next Samsung update which could be tomorrow or six months from now. I'm disabled my phone is my lifeline I need it to work.

I've had the same problem all day (weirdly on both my s24 and my wife's old s22). My wife's eventually rectified itself but mine has been stubborn. Vodafone support useless, telling to wait a few days for it to fix itself... anyway, just wanted to say that the 'select a different network then back to Vodafone' method seems to have worked. Thanks so much!

Mine is doing exactly this as of this morning - was fine yesterday.

I have a voip app on my phone and this works with as usual just the standard phone and calling is buggered!

I've had this problem since the recent update to 6.1.1. But this fix method worked a treat. Thank you
