Can't record video using AirDroid Cast

For some reason, when I try to record a video on my phone while casting to my laptop, I receive a message on my phone that I can't record video during calls. This never happened on either of my Motorola phones. I depend on the casting app to record videos for YouTube but have no idea how to solve this issue. As soon as I close down the casting app I can then record video.

Please advise.

Thanks for your input, but I paid for the app, there isn't another that comes close.

It's the strange message on the phone that I can't record video during calls, I've never seen that before.

Does it happen if restart the phone and immediately try to record and cast. Thinking something else might be running causing the issue

Yes, I thought of that, but only closing down the casting app works, then I can record video. 😕

Sounds like both apps trying to record the audio. Can you stop one or the other audio input

AirDroid Cast has audio recording turned off, I'm completely stumped.

Thank you for that, I couldn't find anything related to my issue. That's a really old post, unfortunately, and video recording is definitely working on my old phone, ipad and PC. It even works if I use another camera app on my Samsung phone, but I want to use the camera app that comes with it.
