Samsung will release an update to address the the Zoom differences on photos on S24 Ultra.
It's only if you play around with some precise settings will the camera capture photos that are a bit too dark. This happens when you lock the auto exposure between 1.6-1.9x and 4.6-9.9x zoom in the camera app and take a photo. This results in a much darker photo being captured.
Samsung has confirmed that a fix for this issue is under development and that a software update will be released to address it. Users are advised to update their device to the latest firmware when it becomes available.

I have not found details of all the fixing, but it is very likely that all these little bugs will be dealt with accordingly. Most of these are software optimisations that have not been done because the phone is at a very early stage.

I agree, there are some issues on the different sensors, and zoom levels. I hope they release an update fixing most of them soon.
I am happy to have 1000X zoom if the quality is usable, if not, like you, I prefer a lesser zoom. I guess that the big zoom is there for virtualisation only. If printing then the size has to be reduced considerably to hide the gremlins.
I very much doubt they will create too many version of the Ultra. They killed the Note because it was not practical to release too many high end phones in a year. I remembered one of the Samsung's directors saying something to that effect. In other words, they need to maximise profit, amalgamating the S and the Note was the only solution. The foldable series are also competing for our attention.
I am happy with the current design, but it is hard not think of a Note. Saying that, I am really happy that the Note did not disappear completely. I love the concept, S-Pen and the big screen.

An extra option to capture (fast) moving objects indoors and outdoors (especially indoors,it's impossible if my son is moving or dancing,...) I did not expect this issue on this very expensive high end phone. The Google smartphones and pixel smartphones are already capable of taking sharp pictures of very fast objects indoors and outdoors... didn't samsung advertised it should be possible with this phone? Yes. And sadly many pet or children owners or really disappointed. Even in burst mode, or single take. I have tested it all, it is no option. The pictures or moved/blurred on the things that are moving. I hope this can be fixed in the future with furthermore software updates. As a huawei p30pro user for many years I have to say in general the camera of this phone + AI is a big upgrade so far.

Could you not take a picture of fast moving subject in Pro mode or Expert raw?
I am sure that if you reduce the speed and increase the ISO, you should get that sort of picture.
Of course, an automatic way of detecting this is convenient. Specially for pets, there is no time to change settings for a particular moment.

Hey guys!
When I shoot images with 50 MP or 200 MP, the images look good until they are processed. After processing, the shadows are too dark and the colors are terrible. When I take a picture of a person with the 50 MP camera, the person looks like a zombie. If future updates don't fix this, I'll sell the phone and never buy another Samsung phone again.
