I would really like if samsung had an update to their main camera or expertraw that meant that photos taken didn't get edited by the phones software. As a photographer trying to use my phone I find it infuriating to take an incredible shot only for it to be destroyed by the edit that samsung does. I haven't found expertraw to be great with it either.

An additional toggle for no edits in the camera app would be amazing or a way to undo the edits that the software does. Even if that's on a PC I'd be happy. Or working with Adobe or other editing software to have the native colours as an adjustment setting like there is for cameras.

If I am doing something wrong I would happily learn. But a toggle is all I'm asking for as there is modes in the main camera I want to use i.e. portrait mode.

If you haven't already it may be beneficial to send this as feedback via your Samsung Members App too @Goose15

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Tbh I wonder where are the days where we were using our phones to take unprocessed pictures that were great? Why can't we take unprocessed pictures that don't have to be passed through AI. What's wrong with Raw pictures?

I think that a 'natural mode' for both photos and videos would be a fantastic idea, but the amount of software development necessary to ensure this natural mode gives stable result to photos and videos would be considerable. It would not merely be switching all enhancements off to let the phone just do it's own thing. It would need massive development. I do however think that such a mode on any flagship would potentially be a big popular selling point, even if the development costs would be high. Some would argue too high?.

@Goose15: For Photo mode, you do have the option of heading to the Camera app > Tap the cog symbol in the top left > Advanced intelligence options > Quality optimisation, and setting this to 'Minimum' to switch off any post processing and optimisation that would otherwise be applied. While you're here, toggle off 'Scene optimiser' to stop the colour and contrast of pictures from being altered. Now, tap the Back button > Advanced picture options > RAW copies, and toggle this on, as colour tone adjustments won't be shown in RAW copies of your pictures.

I think the same and also they could upgrade the picture quality in night mode too because mine still gives that AI feature and glitch lines when i take a selfie at low light and i hate it although i still haven't got the new updated version yet so will have to wait for it. And yes its so frustrating when you take a a real good pic just it to be destroyed by editing, they should atleast provide an option for no edits. Hopefully they would change it in future 🙏🏻
