On the S24, they've made a change to the navigation gesture bar. The old 3-position bar (swipe up for app drawer, home, back) has been replaced with a single bar in the middle that goes home. To go back, you have to swipe in from the sides, and opening the app task drawer is not as straightforward.

I believe it would be beneficial if they provided the option to have the three separate gesture navigation options back. This would allow users to choose the navigation method that they prefer and are most comfortable with. Galaxy S24 Ultra . Galaxy S24+ . Galaxy S24

When you have the keyboard on the screen ,especially if you use swipe ,it's not so easy to go back, you keep selecting letters on the keyboard, old one is much better.

I also so much prefer the 3 lines for navigating around - it's way more convenient for my liking as well.

Yes, I know how to use any other method available, but I just fail to see what the inconvenience is to leave it as an option, specially when it takes just about as much space under the screen than that single line.

My goodness, Samsung, please let us access those 3 navigation lines again!

I guess it may be because of the new circle to search feature but please add this back if possible! The swipe from sides back gesture can be super annoying, whenever you tap to close to the edge of the screen it goes back. And the default buttons reduce screen size. The previous one was perfect.

  • Finally! We're able to use the older 3 bars Navigation Bars.

Download/Update Navstar app (via Galaxy store or Good Lock app) to configure the navigation bar.

Update:
To enable back the old navigation bar.
1) Open Navstar and turn on Swipe Gestures
2) Go to your phone's navigation bar setting, tap on "More Options"
3) Select "Swipe from Bottom"

Thank you Samsung.

If this isn't a joke, and I really hope it isn't, I will name my first child after you (I already planned on naming him John anyway, haha). 😁🙏🙏🙏

Are you using NavStar through the Good Lock app?

Literally made an account just to like this. I REALLY dislike not giving its users the option. This ain't apple.

Yeah I wasn't able to see the app as standalone so got it through good lock. It enables me to change the icons and color/size of the preview bar but doesn't give me anything new in settings on the s24 Ultra.
