Bluetooth audio keeps cutting out

When listening to music via Bluetooth (headphones or speaker) the audio keeps cutting out for a second or two at a time. I believe this has started happening since the last security update. At first I assumed it was a buffering issue but the same thing is happening with the mp3s stored locally on my device, so it cannot be that. Is this an identified issue? Thank you.

You could resetting your settings only under reset.

Also I have noticed. If your arm or anything touches the Bluetooth headsets you can have those issues as well say when you are lying down and touch a pillow or your arm etc

The audio cutting out issue you're experiencing with Bluetooth headphones or speakers on your Samsung S24 could indeed be related to a software update or settings on your device. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

1. **Restart Your Device**: A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches. Turn off your phone, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

2. **Forget and Reconnect Bluetooth Devices**:
- Go to **Settings** > **Connections** > **Bluetooth**.
- Find your Bluetooth headphones or speaker in the list of Paired devices.
- Tap the settings icon next to the device and choose **Forget**. Then, reconnect by pairing it again.

3. **Check Bluetooth Settings**:
- Ensure that your Bluetooth devices are within a reasonable range (typically up to 30 feet or 10 meters) from your phone.
- Avoid interference from other devices or Wi-Fi routers that might disrupt Bluetooth signals.

4. **Update Apps and System Software**:
- Ensure that both your apps, including the music player, and your device's system software are up to date. Updates often include bug fixes that could resolve connectivity issues.

5. **Clear Bluetooth Cache**:
- Go to **Settings** > **Apps** > **Bluetooth**.
- Tap on **Storage & cache**.
- Tap **Clear cache**.

6. **Reset Network Settings**:
- Go to **Settings** > **General management** > **Reset** > **Reset network settings**.
- This will reset Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth settings, so you'll need to reconnect to Wi-Fi networks and pair Bluetooth devices again.

7. **Check Battery Optimization Settings**:
- Sometimes, aggressive battery optimization settings can interfere with Bluetooth performance. Go to **Settings** > **Battery and device care** > **Battery** > **App power management** and ensure that Bluetooth-related apps are not overly restricted.

8. **Safe Mode Troubleshooting**:
- Restart your phone and hold down the **Volume Down** button until the phone boots up. This will start the device in Safe Mode.
- In Safe Mode, check if the Bluetooth issue persists. If it doesn’t, a third-party app might be causing the problem.

9. **Factory Reset as a Last Resort**:
- If all else fails and the issue persists, consider backing up your data and performing a factory reset. This will erase all data on your phone, so make sure to back up important information first.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be worth contacting Samsung support for further assistance, as there could be underlying hardware or software issues specific to your device model or recent updates.

Thank you both. I'll go through everything in turn and see what works.

Clearing the Bluetooth cache and unpairing and re-pairing devices has helped, but it does still happen from time to time. If you're having a similar issue I hope you're able to sort it.

I'm having a similar issue on my s24 for One UI v6.1 but its not specific to bluetooth. (last update was last night: Jan 24th) after my update the audio skips every few seconds. Even if its just the device audio it still skips. This started suddenly too. Not directly after the update but a few hours of music and audio later

I have the same issue in my S4 ultra, no matter what I do the issue returns. Only happens with the phone, for example, if i disconnect the phone and use the galaxy watch 6 LTE to hear music in the same headset the music never cuts out.

I'm also having the issue with latest UI 7 update on my S24 ultra. But what's strange. It's only with my UE Boom (Wonderboom) 4 bluetooth speaker. When I listen to music with 2 other headsets it doesn't occur.

I'm atm trying to figure out if it's related to Spotify? Are we all probably using that? I cannot reproduce it with my Macbook and my Boom 4, so it must be the phone.

Now the final question, is it the Bluetooth connection or the playback app. 🙏
