My phone has been overheating lately, even when charging, and the battery seems to be draining faster than usual. Today, it overheated immediately after I switched it on, and the battery drained even more quickly. It has settled down, though the battery level is still lower than expected. I've restarted my phone several times, but the problem persists. I haven't owned it for a year yet, and I don't know what to do.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Sorry to hear of your issues.

When a battery heats, it could be one of several issues but the first one would be to check your battery stats to see if there is a rogue app running fast and affecting battery performance.

Please go to settings, battery and click on the screen where it says "Today".

You'll get the following screen, this will show you battery usage. Underneath there is a list of apps and how much battery is being used. Please screen shot this and post it here1736716357695.jpg
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Try uninstall apps who consuming most of the battery.

Your 4.5hr screen on time seems decent to me. Get maybe a battery temperature app from Google play and see what battery temp is. Mine ranges from 33 to 39c depending on usage

Hello @Anonymous User

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

Also there is a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App.

You can send Feedback via your Samsung Members App too for samsung to analyse.

I would suggest to let a Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store have hands on to assess your phone if your home troubleshooting steps fail to resolve this.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
