Battery draining faster after software update

Hello has anyone else experience faster battery drainage after updating one UI 7 on your S24 ultra and if you have experience the same thing has anyone been able to sort out the issue and if yes what have you done

I've been scouring forums and yes, this happened to me as well with the latest update.
Battery drains even while charging even after wiping partition cache. I suspect this is a software bug that needs another hotfix.

Speaking of, did anyone else get another push this morning ?  my USB port is suddenly not recognizing devices

I used to see my notifications under the always on clock but now can't see them and am missing message notifications. The apps look awful, hate the battery look. It's like a kids phone. I hate it

In order to see lock screen notifications on ONE UI7 you need to set the notifications style to "cards" in settings. Do this:

Go to settings > notifications > lock screen notifications > and change it from Icons to Cards. You will now be able to see your lock screen notifications as you did on one ui 6.1.

Below that you can select which apps can send lock screen notifications.

I also experience battery drain since 1 May 2025

I have even tried changing to the new battery but it does not work. The battery drain still persist. This is clearly a software issue. And might be caused by either Samsung, Google or both

I have the same issue on my S22, yes, it was going relatively fast also before, but it goes faster now and can't even do my things without charging my phone over 10 times a day, recently 1-2 months ago I send my phone to repair to change my battery (official factory), so old battery can't be the problem.

My guess Samsung will release an update that only slightly fixes the battery problem and we will have to live with a brand new phone w/ terrible battery usage till we get a new phone (S26) or when ONE UI8 is released.

Kinda feels like how Intel has killed the performance of every desktop CPU I've purchased in the last 5-10 years w/ "mitigations" for security.

My update to UI7 just now came to my phone on 5/8/25 @ 10am this morning. My phone was at 100% but now I see the severe battery draining that everyone on TikTok was ANGRY about. I called Samsung Tech Support and she said it's draining because I had too many apps running in the back ground. I informed  her sarcastically that before this update my battery NEVER did this no difference because my battery would last 2 days with 1 full charge and one look at my Battery Activity chart history would  prove it. Samsung is NO HELP. If they don't send a update to fix this *****, I will finally give up my love of Samsung products and go with another brand (never iPhone though).
