I bought an S24 Ultra 4 days ago, and the battery backup is really poor. I have to charge it 2 to 3 times a day, and I am only getting 4 hours of screen-on time. Is it always like this? Does it get better?

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Before you posted, did you search the forum? This question has been answered so many times.

Within the first 14 days, your device will go through a learning process to learn how you use your device. It will then optimise your battery settings.

Depending on how you use your device, post optimisation expect between a full day and for light usage up to a couple of days on a full charge.

Did you setup your new S24 ultra using smart switch to transfer your old phone to the s24 ultra. From past experience, I've found this method may caused battery drain issues.
I would only restore the contact, files and photos. I would reinstall the apps manually and log back in to the apps individually. I use this approach if I suffer from bad battery drain when setting up a new Samsung phone.

No, I didn't use smart switch, I got the contacts from my Google account and installed all the apps manually

That's recommended by many on here.

SmartSwitch is great but it can also bring over older versions of apps so members on here prefer to set up clean.

Yes my experience is it took my phone about 14 days to settle down battery life wise after first set up. Personally I would just give it that time before doing any analysis. Mine was loads better after that time
