Hate to be a broken record with the display issues, however I've not seen that many posts on banding issue on here, seen lots on reddit. Maybe samsung are deleting them 🤷🏼‍♀️. I've uploaded a screen recording of me cycling through the colour gradients on testmyscreen website and you can see for yourself how bad it is (hopefully you will see what I'm seeing with it being a screen recording). I can live with the vivid thing but this is diabolical for a 1300 quid phone. Unfortunately I noticed it after my return window. Is anyone else's this bad? I noticed it when going to share a photo from my gallery on Instagram stories as it adds a gradient background and I was like wtf 🤯.

Well, if you cannot see the banding on my picture as bad as in the website, it is a good sign. It means that it is content dependant.

Taking the phone to Samsung Centre is good shout. All the best.

The adaptive brightness feature is currently enabled, and the color mode is set to Natural. After conducting a thorough examination of my device's screen, I am pleased to report that the gradient issue is not present on my phone. However, I do acknowledge and understand the preference for the previous, more vibrant color scheme. By implementing changes to the theme and wallpaper, I have successfully achieved a significant improvement in the overall visual appeal of the user interface.

Im glad yours seems to be OK 🙏🏻. I have adaptive brightness on but not tried that natural mode. I'm hoping I've got a bad one that can be replaced under warranty. Called in to Samsung repair centre today while I was in town but they said I needed an appointment. I'll try again next time 🙁.

Just an update that no one asked for! I've arranged for a replacement but have to send my phone back first. 7 - 10 days for replacement 🤡

An update that wasn't asked for but that was definitely appreciated..I was invested in your outcome at that point!..lol..I too could see the problem on your phone so I do hope the new one is free from any mishaps!..all the best..

  • Ran the tests on my S24 Ultra and see no banding or degradation.
