How do I change my home screen app icon labels from the black color to a white color so the labels will be visible over the dark colors of palm trees on my home screen wallpaper?

On Samsung devices, icon labels (names) appearing black instead of white on the home screen, especially in dark mode, is usually due to the wallpaper and theme settings interacting. The system may automatically adjust the text colour to provide sufficient contrast against the background, making it black on lighter wallpapers and white on darker ones.

Wallpaper and Contrast:

Samsung's One UI often adjusts text color based on the wallpaper to ensure readability.

If your wallpaper is predominantly light, the system will likely choose black text for the icon labels.

Conversely, if your wallpaper is dark, the system will probably display white text.

Theme Settings:

Custom themes can also influence icon label colours. Some themes may force a specific colour for text, overriding the system's automatic adjustment.

Check your current theme and try applying a different one, or revert to the default theme, to see if it resolves the issue.

Accessibility Settings:

In some cases, accessibility settings like "High Contrast Text" might be enabled, forcing a specific colour for text, including icon labels.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Vision enhancements > Colour correction and check if it's enabled.

Disabling this setting might revert the text to the default behavior based on wallpaper and theme.

Change Wallpaper:

Try using a different wallpaper with a more contrasting colour to see if the icon labels change.

Check Theme:

Go to Settings > Themes and try applying a different theme or reverting to the default theme.

Accessibility Settings:

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Vision enhancements and check if Colour correction is enabled and try disabling it.

Custom Launcher:

If using a custom launcher, check its settings for icon label customization.

I turned power saving off and switched dark mode to light mode which caused me to be able to read the labels that were over the leaves and trunk of palm trees on my beach scene wallpaper.  Now that I know how to solve the problem, I probably will switch back to power saving, but know I have option to switch to light mode with power saving off to see the labels better when needed.

Your suggestion under Assessibility Settings> Vision Enhancements> "High Contrast Text" works even with power saver Dark Mode on.

I appreciate your help
