Animations / App refresh

The new animations are nice BUT 1 is bugging the hell out of me and I can't figure out how to turn it off OR change it.

So let's say you have 2 whatsapp numbers connected. Previously when you switched the accounts it was seamless. Now when you switch it feels like the app closes, you get a flash of the homescreen, then it reopens to the switched account. It's bugging the hell out of me... got another phone with ui6 and latest whatsapp version and it doesn't do it.

Another update that I feel is backwards....

Happens on other App switches too. Tbh prefer ui6 7 so far seems to be pants 😤

Maybe experiment with animation scale (3 entries) under developers options

Yup tried that. No joy. As per my WhatsApp example... it like the app closes and then reopens when accounts are switched. Baffled as to which settings making that happen.... it's not any one of those 3 animation settings under developer options...
