Screentimeout issues

Anyone else notice that even though you have the screen timeout set to a certain time i.e. 30seconds it still FEELS like it goes off much earlier...

I think I narrowed it down to the phone sensing how close you are... not noticeable so much during the day and it doesn't go off like it does when the lights dim (suns down) and it goes off much quicker (even thogh i timed it and its the same time) the dimming happens much quicker before iflt fully goes off... previously it was consistent day or night.

Another 'we made it better' update ... NOT 

Can't change the setting either to say 1min+ as power saving mode has it set to default 30seconds. 🤔

Yes I think that's the Google software with its battery saving.
I get that on my old Pixel 7 Pro
I get that it senses you using or carrying the phone.
But I found get that you have something open and put the phone down a moment

Ment to say when you have something open and put the phone down, the screen goes off before you pick it up to carry on.
That said I have Android 16 beta on thr pixel now.
Will look to see if it still does it

Nah, mine doesn't do that on the new ui7... it gets locked and you have to reopen

Mine goes out too fast when I'm talking to someone or a recording. If you have to enter a number for example or want to turn on the speaker, my screen has already gone black. I have it set to 10 minutes hoping it will stay on 10 seconds. I also have it set to stay on while I'm looking at the screen, but it doesn't. My first and last Samsung. I'd always heard a lot about them, but anything I have to say about the brand isn't very positive.

Yea not good at all. Mines gone a little better with time dunno why... holding it the same way but during the day it's rarely times out... after dark it's consistently timing out. Tells me it's something to do with the facial recognition and maybe motion sensors 🤔 defo prefer ui6
