If samsung does start charging for all AI features like the circle to search I won't be paying a penny, we've all paid for £1,300 S24 ultra there's no way i'll be paying for ANY AI features samsung had better rethink this

Google provide some AI for free, with more detailed options at £19.99 a month.

Free for 12 months with a pixel but I wouldn't pay for it.

Hi there 👋, every MAJOR company like samsung, Google, apple will charge for AI features in future, apple is partners with chat GBT, whitch majority of people pay subscription anyway, AI features nowadays is not a new thing (even tho it is ) it's evolving rapidly and there's only companies who will decide if its paid or not unfortunately, like I've mentioned people used chat GBT for a while now and they paid their subscription because it was good, now if I'm going to pay for subscription? Yes. Why? Because matter all of the companies will do the same, AI is powerful and can do A LOT, so why not?

I think the one question everyone will ask themselves is whether the chargeable AI options meet their wants or needs......

Eventually pricing will settle as competition digs it's heels in but for now it is a no from me

I have to agree on this one, it actually depends what person needs and what not. There's plenty examples everyone can Google it that some millionaire's uses chat GBT AI for their let's say meeting representation, or anything to be fair, and I do agree that eventually price will settle and it's going to be "IF you don't have AI your OLD" type of thing. And for now I'm quite happy with all the features, and advantages and if I'll have to pay in future when a lot is improved and fixed then why not it's like another subscription like Spotify i pay monthly, but more useful.

AI is both gimmicky and useful.

Depends on user and how they would approach it.

I'd only pay for AI if it's bundled with say online storage and other stuff.

I find myself not using any of the current AI at all.

They are all fine and dandy for a while but you seem to eventually get bored.
Although lot of people like circle to search I find it as an annoyance
I love sketchtoimage but just for fun. Not something I'd be willing to pay.
I don't use notes so the summarise etc are not for me. Great for students probably.

So will really depend what they are offering.

I feel one would have to see what they bring with one ui 7 of the s25. Ultra as if it's true that it's coming with the elite cpu then you will probably be able to do most AI on device.

Samsung could also go with free AI for a year for latest flagships and charge for older ones.

So one could either pay to get on older device or just keep upgrading to a newer device .

Until then we just don't know until Samsung officially make a statement.

The only AI that I use is circle to search, the other stuff is a gimmick to me. It really depends on what Samsung would want a subscription for and also how far that AI is embedded into the every day features of the phone.

Also, what if not wanting to subscribe to those AI features meant that you only get a basic operating phone 🤔

Certainly AI is going to be a big thing and the features are Certainly beneficial; though some may be not be on the must have list for everyone.  I think it depends  on the quality and at present a number feel an additional fee is not  justified.

@JAMES4578 It most definitely will be a lot better in future, "chat bots" like chatGBT are capable of pretty much everything and it's worth to pay 16£ p/m from generated job CV, to a lawyer etc, if you require any of that. Personally I don't have chatgbt but tried in past, I think samsung is holding and developing more and more and by the time it's paid (as far we know now it's going to be) it will be advanced by a lot i believe so it's going to be worth to pay as your regular subscription (even though it won't be for everyone, and it's personal thing whether you want it or not), also AI is latest gold mine for anyone, and also we need to consider that this could be really expensive, for example: chatGBT(openai) pays700k $ a day to run whole thing, i think time will tell but the AI is there for sure and it's capable of a lot of things. 😁 👌
