Advice appreciated

Hi, 

I'd like to try my hand at drawing and some photo editing with AI. As I have the S24 + I don't have a pen. Id like to use a larger screen to be honest, but wanted to check that my phone would be able to share any image on and laptop/screen other then with a Samsung laptop etc? 

That said I would need something to draw on other than my phone. This is where I'm not sure what to do or get. I do need a new laptop as I'm using my old one since my PC died. 

What min specs are best for this kind of thing? Would i be better with a touch screen thats compatible with a pen or some kind of electronic drawing pad? 

I need to keep the costs to a minimum so any advice would be welcome.

If you want to draw i suggest look at tablets its because it's more comfortable to use while drawing, I'm comfortable drawing on my s24 ultra on the go and I love it.

Now I suggest tab s9 fe if you're on the budget it comes with pen also, tab s6 lite (2024) comes with pen and it's good for drawing.

Book3 360 is also not so expensive.

I find tablets are more comfortable to draw on rather than laptops.

I did think of a tablet but thought I'd get more use from a laptop. It makes sense in being easier to draw on. Am I right in thinking that tablets are like phones and the updates stop after awhile?

Yes unfortunately it does but nowadays samsung extended support for updates for newer devices some up to 5-7 years of updates whitch i think its really great, I think 4-5 years you would probably would want to upgrade your tablet or a phone anyway.

As for laptops yes you will be looking at bigger price range if you want to draw and use apps who consume more power.

My personal suggestion is if you already have perfectly working laptop and you don't need upgrade and looking device to draw on i suggest get a tablet like mentioned before. Plus sometimes I found i just leave my laptop and keep doing all the work on my tablet as they capable of a lot of things. 👍
