Yellow Skin Tone Indoor

I have noticed in all shots and videos indoor with white and yellow lighting, skin tones go too (bright yellow) and super unrealistic. Moreover, anywhere a yellow light in present (indoor) the whole video gets high yellow tint everywhere... Skin tones are in general so unrealistic in S23 Ultra no matter you set screen to Vivid or Natural. I know I can use Expert Raw or Pro Mode but it's too convenient for every shots to get involved settings things up to match the real color....I have updated to April update but the problem still exists. I have tried iPhone 14 plus under same conditions and all ok. What's wrong with Samsung releasing an expensive flagship without testing everything in advance and needless to fix them in later updates....?

Hello @alireza-nasibi

Can you try the following camera setting.

Launch Camera > Tap on the Cog for settings > Toggle Off Scene Optomiser.

Take a picture to see if that's better.

If not and no other camera settings help then send feedback via your Samsung Members app.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

It tends to be a common problem on these flagship phones, your skin colour never looks to be realistic, especially selfies when taken in doors. I noticed the difference when I upgraded to the S22ultra from a s8+ which took much better photos.

If you click the brush icon on the top right.

Go to filters and make sure it says Original and not any other filter.

Incase it's stuck on a filter.

Scene optimizer makes no difference to the skin tone issue. It's too weird that a flagship phone from Samsung can't ever take a real skin tone anytime...

I'm not a first time user id Samsung phones and I'm quite aware of filters, screen mode and other settings that may affect how a photos looks in the phone. There's no filters applied. Thanks for your advice anyway.

To be specific, it's the common issue in Samsung phones. I've tried with iphone 14 plus and there's no such an issue and it can truly reflect the true skin tones under any conditions (except some occasional night shots).

Hi Alireza,

Hope you've found a solution. I just bought S23 FE and constantly look like I have curry powder on my face during selfies and video calls. The Samsung Service Centre recommended doing a hard reset of all settings and sending it in to repair if it doesn't fix the problem. However, I'm not sure this will work given that other people like yourself have experienced this problem. Would you be able to share your experience? Thanks, Janet

@Janet19: Please try opening the Camera app > Switch to the front facing camera by swiping up or down on the viewfinder > Tap the 2 overlapping squares in the top right > Colour tone > Natural > Face > Tap the half filled circle (tone) > Adjust this to your preference.

If you can't see the 'Face' options, tap 'Off' in the bottom right so it changes to 'On', and the menu of options appears at the bottom of the viewfinder.

Hi Andrew, thanks but it's already on Natural. It's something that others have found to be a problem too, so I would appreciate help.
