My S23 Plus connects to my Asus RT-AXE7800 router, which is a Wifi 6E router. Before updating to UI 6.1, there was no Wifi problem. After I have updated my S23 Plus from UI 6.0 to 6.1. I have found that when it is connected to the router in  Wifi 6E mode, it says no internet or the connection fails. It only connects to the router in Wifi 6 mode stably. It seems that this is a bug of the update. Is there anyone who has the same problem out there?

Wi-Fi safe mode prioritizes network stability over performance.

I found the following after Googling:

Basically what that means is if your WiFi is broadcasting wireless 802.11a/b/g/n/x it will switch you to a band of lower connection speed that has better distance. Same with saved 2.4Ghz vs 5Ghz frequencies. Whichever has the better signal.

If that's the case, it may be worse than connecting in Wifi6 mode. It may not be a better solution.

Thanks a lot, just going in developper mode worked on my S23 while in vacation in Spain. My wife, with the same model and softwares versions did not have the problem while connecting to the same routers!

Now One UI7 is released. Anyone upgraded? Does it fix the Wifi 6E issue?

I don't have time to upgrade at this moment. Maybe I'll try it in a day or two.

I just upgraded my S23+ to One UI version 7.0 and Android version 15 and WiFi 6E works great now finally! 👍

I have upgraded too. But I am now in my working place where no 6E is available. I'll try to see when I go back home.

Thanks.

By the way, did you factory reset the phone to make it work after upgrading?

No factory reset - just normal upgrade with all data and settings kept and it worked 👍

A new issue for me. I have just figured out that my router also has a problem with 6E. There is no 6E signal from it. There are some similar cases out there too.
