WiFi handset differences

Can somebody explain why my sons s21fe receives my home WiFi at 35mps whereas my s23 ultra (in the same room) receives it at 140mps ?

The S21 Series has a well documented AWFUL modem in it. I sent both my S21 Ultra devices back for refund a couple of years ago due to poor signal both mobile and WiFi.

In the meantime, suggest a couple of things that may help:

1. Turn on airplane mode on your son's device, leave for say half a minute then turn airplane mode off and see if it improves things

2. Reset Network Settings (NOT a factory data reset so doesn't delete any of his data) but he will have to reconnect to WiFi wherever he has it saved.

Finally, third option would be a wipe partition cache and again see if that helps.

Like said above, your comparing a top of the range samsung flagship new release, vrs a nearly 2 year old device, with an awful modem built in. you could try the steps piperdog mentioned. Good luck👍
