@Topbusdriver: Which app are you using, and are you streaming the shows, or watching downloaded content? Do the sound drop outs coincide with any other activity on your phone e.g. when a notification comes through? Is it specific content which is affected, or all content? Does the sound return after it drops off?

@Topbusdriver: With the above in mind, you may wish to enable Do not disturb while you are watching streaming apps, and set any exceptions so you don't miss any important calls or activity in specific apps. To do so, head to Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb > On, then set the exceptions via the 'Allowed during Do not disturb' section towards the bottom of the screen.
Alternatively, head to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Notification sound > Notification sound volume, and move the slider all the way to the left to mute notifications. You may also wish to automate this workaround by heading to Settings > Modes and Routines > Routines > Tap the '+' symbol in the top right, and apply the following specifications.
If > App opened > Select the relevant media apps > Done > Then > Notifications > Do not disturb > On.
OR
If > App opened > Select the relevant media apps > Done > Then > Sounds and vibration > Sound mode and volume > Move the notification slider to the left so it mutes > Done.

If you're experiencing volume drops while watching a TV show, it could be for a number of potential reasons. For example, compressing the dynamic range, adjusting the soundbar, maybe you need to adjust the TV or work with the hardware
By eliminating these potential causes, you should be able to identify and resolve the problem of the volume dropping while watching a TV show.
