Whatsapp video issues

OK here goes...

Went on a lovely walk went to share videos with my friend who has an iPhone. 

My video looks crisp

My friend recieves a blurry horrible video. Like I have an old phone. 

What am I doing wrong? 🙏 please any idea?

I reluctantly came back to Samsumg as no longer having to be able to upgrade my huawei that I loved.

I believe is has to do with the video compression from WhatsApp and not a Samsung issue

You can still get HuaWei phone

What's the solution please? Change camera video settings?

You can share the videos via Quick Share (as a link) or use any of the cloud services - Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.

I've just found out whatsapps video quality size 1080 x 1920 px so I've edited my video to that size sent as document and that seems to of sent loads better.
Bit of a faff but better than nothing.

Phones are improving quicker than whatsapp can cope.

Try going into your WhatsApp
Tap on the 3 dots top right corner
Go into settings
Then storage and data
At the bottom select the photo upload quality
See how this goes
Will still be compressed

Other option is to send it as a file

When you goto send/share the video, select document not gallery. If you select document and then find the mp4 you wanna send you'll be able to send upto about 2gb in size I believe....
