Following previous post ( Can be found here -https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s23-series/water-damaged-s23-ultra-help-advice-wanted/td-... )

Hey! Following my previous post about my s23 ultra being water damaged.
Here's the provided paperwork that EE gave me upon returning my device.
Would this be enough for Samsung to give areplacement or for the device to go in for repair?

Thanks all.

Hi there 👋, from what I see there's evidences enough from EE that they haven't detected any water damage or any other faults, and you have it on paper by them so i believe if anything goes wrong and let's say samsung will refuse to fix or replace it should fall on EE who fixed this (as i mentioned before some of the stores/repairs are too lazy and do basic things like "updating software" and you good to go and it should be sorted for you) I'm positive on this one as you have all the paperwork.

I have a feeling Samsung will conduct their own tests which could well find water damage

I was thinking the same, the only thing is why on the paperwork EE did not put what he actually told them that it was submerged in water, it only says that usb issues that customer was having issue with.

Whilst no guarantee think you do have a strong case,  should have redress with EE  if Samsung do not provide a satisfactory rrsponse.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Agree with this one, since Samsung most likely will perform their own tests and they might have questions like why it took so long after repairs, or it could be dropped into the water after repairs were made, but in this case EE will be responsible if samaung will not provide the satisfying solution.

Hey @UNKNOWNUSERNAME

It certainly won't harm to ask a Samsung Service Centre to take a look at the phone.

I assume Samsung supplied the phone directly to you.

Please do let us know how you get on.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

The phones will have various indicators to show if water has damaged anything internally.
If any of these show water ingress of any sort. Samsung will unlikely to repair it.
Salt water is extremely damaging to electronics. Same with chlorinatedwater, and just that alone will void warranty.

Doesn't hurt to book in a repair to see what they say.
If you don't divulge it, it was in sea water, and theres no water ingress.
They may well do a repair.
