Smart view wallet case stopped working after update

Has anyone had this issue with their smart view wallet case that stopped working??

Mine is completely gone. I close the lid and it doesnt turn off the phone, and the screen i had set up before is gone as well. 

Can anyone help? 

Ive restarted the phoen a couple of times and checked all updates. All good. 

Anything else i could try??

The key step is, with the phone power on, to push the top of the phone firmly into the top of the cover.  There is a magnet in the top of the case that triggers the Hall IC sensor on the phone.  Keep the top of the phone against the top of the cover and put the rest of the phone into the case.  This then returns the Cover settings to the Settings menu.

Just follow the instructions in my original post. I can't make it much clearer. 

Take the phone out of the case

Connect a live power cable (so the phone starts charging)

Put the phone back in the case - the power lead needs to stay connected. Put the top of the phone in fully and then push the bottom part in until the USB connector is touching the case. So it stops the rest of the phone going into the case.

Take the power lead out as you push the bottom of the phone into the case. Do it in one movement.

The case will now work !!!!

I have found that if you do updates then it may stop  working again but I just repeat the above and it comes back everytime.

A bit of messing about but so far I have a working clear view case again.

OK, folks. For my situation, it was the way I had put on the new smart cover. Change of colour. The correct way>> is >> Place the top in the first, pushing to a snug fit, on the top rim. I also cleaned my phone back, front and sides, just in case. It was frustrating until I gave it a go, as a last resort. 🙏

After updating to OneUI 7.0 (S23 ultra) my s-view wallet case works but it doesn't show remaining charging time with AOD on. If I put AOD to off mode then the problem is gone. I think this is a software problem that Samsung is responsible for.

Worked for me too. How stupid the phone "forgot" it had that cover on......
