Simple issue, but apparently no easy fix for this quite annoying problem...
I recently fitted my S23 with a brand new and genuine Samsung smart view wallet case, since the old one was damaged. The phone behaved as it should for a while (when closing the cover, S23 went to sleep, when opening the cover, S23 woke up). But all of a sudden, it stopped working : the case flap does not have any effect on the phone behaviour anymore...
I cannot figure out if it is due to some of the recent software automatic updates (which I allowed, like Android 8.0).
From the possible common fixes found on the net for that issue, I tried
- the "reset setting" trick,
- powering the S23 with a cable without the cover, then fitting said S23 into the cover rapidly,
- restarting said S23 (may be 25 times...),
- all possible software updates,
- running diagnostic (everything is fine apparently),
- using a magnet at the bottom of the phone when fitted into the cover (flap opened and closed), but no reaction at all.
Now, I have no further idea on what I could do to fix that issue. Any idea?

Actually, problem solved!
I've just recalled that I kept my old and damaged smart view wallet case in a storage room.
After getting it back, I put my S23 back into the old one, and miracle, the old damaged smart view wallet case was immediately recognized by the phone (there is even a cover menu showing up in the phone settings menu! this option would not show up with the new case...).
This is actually quite disappointing for a purchase of 50Eur.
I thought that I would never come to such quality issues when buying Samsung devices. I will now try to get a refund...
