Device suddenly not 'play protect certified'

Anyone had an issue with their device suddenly becoming 'not play protect certified'?

My S23 (bought from Samsung) has worked fine for 18 months. In the last 2 weeks I've been unable to use Google wallet. Looking at Play store 'profile/settings/about' it appears my device isn't certified anymore. Asked for support from Samsung and Google, both are blaming eachother and we continue to play tennis. The device isn't rooted and no other issues.

Anyone had this experience?

Is the software upto date.
Go into settings and scroll down to software update.
Also go into settings
Scroll down to about phone. Software information
Then tap on Google Play System Update
You may have to do this part more than once if it's not been updated for a while.

Yep, everything is up to date and I had Samsung remotely look at my device. They found nothing.

That's really peculiar. Usually to do with software upto date
My Google Play Software update is on 1st July 2024
And software is 1st August 2024

See if anyone else has further advice as I'm not sure 🤔

Try updating Google Play store from within the app itself.

Open Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, tap Settings, tap About. See screenshot.

Where are you based? 100% sure phone not rooted?
