In regards to signal ~ is this happening just at home or everywhere you go ?
Is your phone obtaining a 4G / 4G+ connection if 5G isn't connecting ?
Again does a 5G connection not happen everywhere ?
Please do consider a Network reset via Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
There is also a diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App.
If nothing helps and this issue is happening everywhere then if your past any relevant cooling off period please let a Samsung Service Centre have hands on with your phone.
In regards to the fingerprint scanner ~ Please consider setting up the same fingerprint a couple of time's which then can help the phone recognise the fingerprint better.
