Does anyone know a work around on how to keep the screen illuminated during phone calls? My timeout is set to 10 mins but when on the phone on loud speaker it goes off after 30 seconds. Samsung phones have been like this for years but does anyone know a way to keep it on?

My formerly used Galaxy devices (S4, S4 Mini, S5, S8, Note 9) did not behave this way and everything was working fine. Now I have the S24 Ultra with a display that shows less during a phone call than at any other time with the AOD. Next week I'll migrate back to my old Note 9 as it is absolutely not acceptable having a phone behaving that annoyingly and having no option to decide on my own if I want the display to work as on many devices from the very same company before.

Very poor.

BUmp... any new solutions? This problem/bug is driving me crazy!

This topic is marked "Solved" when it is clearly not.

To be honest this problem will never be solved fully unless you download some rubbish app,

I have an S10e, and it has no feature or setting to keep the screen on during a phone call.

Why is this "solution" still here when numerous people have said it does not work?  There is no Settings/Display/Advanced Features on my phone.

Nothing works it just simply doesn’t happen you would have though a customisable phone like Samsung would be able to allow you change this setting but obviously not

You might try:

- Settings

- Lock Screen

- Secure Lock Settings (it will ask for your 4-digit pin).

Click the first option - which gives you the opportunity to change the length of time.

I keep the second option (underneath the time) toggled off, but I'm no tech wizard. Also, not to brag, but I have a Note 8 (but I love it).

Good luck.

Hi,

You might see if the answer I gave - or at least an adaptable version of it - is an option on your (newer) phone. The timeout was driving me crazy for a long time, and changing the obvious "Timeout" setting wasn't working.

I never stopped to take time to try to figure it out until a little while ago and found a solution that worked - at least for me.

Best of luck.
