So I thought April's update would bring a fix for the dreaded WiFi 6 issue but it has done nothing !
Issue is weird as it keeps on coming and going as in it'll all be fine for a day or 2 and then happens again and is so frustrating ! What used to work for me before the April update was toggle WiFi on and off on the phone and it would be ok but for a while but now it won't help, the only odd thing that does temporarily work is when I have the issue of WiFi not loading anything up / stalling is to long press the WiFi icon in notification panel then WiFi straight away shows connected again and then switch back to what I was doing. Definitely a bug from the S23 Ultra side !
Never had a problem with my old S22 ultra / Fold 4 / Flip 4 / iPhone 14 Pro max, only happens with this phone !
I have a pair of mesh eero pro 6 routers which I never had an issue with and all devices I have connected to it always worked (both WiFi 5 and 6) just this phone.
Spoke to Samsung on twitter just before march update and they said they were aware of the issue and we're working on a fix but then came march update, nothing... Then came April update, nothing. When I spoke to them again on twitter they were like, sorry to hear we haven't heard about any issues regarding WiFi on S23 Ultra 🤦 so back to square one I guess !
Absolutely love the phone but this issue is a main one for me, I mean it's 2023 who doesn't need reliable WiFi nowadays !

It is not a router issue.

I have two Samsung S23Plus's in the house plus a iPhone 15 Pro Max and they work perfectly.

Visitors that come into the house and use the WIFI on their non-S22 or S23 Ultra phones have no issues.

It is and has been a very specific antenna related hardware/software problem that Samsung had not addressed as of August.

I was just checking to see if there was any movement since then.

It's your router settings. Turn off BSS Transition. Problem solved. Has nothing to do with the phone. Wifi 6 works flawlessly on my S23 plus.

For me the issue finally went away after the One UI 6 update. I also replaced my Asus AX88U afterwards to get 2.5 gigabit LAN and WAN and haven't seen the issue again with the new WiFi 6E/7 router.

The router (and the related extenders) work flawlessly with Dell XPS laptops, MacBooks plus the iPhone & Samsung 22 and 23 Plus.

I do not want to or should have to do anything with my router to accommodate the purported Samsung flagship phone.

I will either solve this problem or get an iPhone in January.

Again, our issue is why do we have to replace anything to accommodate a Samsung flaw?

As said above, the router (and the related extenders) work flawlessly with Dell XPS laptops, MacBooks plus the iPhone & Samsung 22 and 23 Plus.

I do not want to or should have to do anything with my router to accommodate the purported Samsung flagship phone.

I will either solve this problem or get an iPhone in January.

Same issue. Have to turn WiFi off to get Internet a few times a day. Have very good WiFi. Just pauses. Then comes up with no WiFi. Have followed all the guides. No improvement. S23 ultra. Would be a good phone if wasn't for connectivity issues. Have to turn WiFi off to get Internet. Then turn back on. Pain in the *****. Needs resolving. Would send phone back, same as Google 6. Sell you the dream. No back up with issues. Sorry for delay had to turn WiFi off again

You're something special. BSS isn't supported in many devices and can cause connection issues. How about dropping your pompous attitude and turn off the setting on your router and give it a try. My device works flawlessly. Some routers have this on my default and it shouldn't. So either try the simple fix or keep crying like a whiny baby.
