Any brand of earbud, I will be on a call using my earbuds when a call will come in. If I answer the call the earbuds will switch to the new call and back. If I decline the call, ignore the call, or anything other than answer the call my earbuds will disconnect from the call then I have to turn bluetooth off and back on

Experiencing disconnections with earbuds during calls can be frustrating, especially when it happens with any brand. Here are several steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

### **1. Update Firmware and Software**

- **Earbuds**:
- Ensure your earbuds have the latest firmware. Use the corresponding app for your earbuds (e.g., Samsung Galaxy Wearable, Apple AirPods with the Apple devices, etc.) to check for updates.

- **Phone**:
- Update your phone's software to the latest version. Go to **Settings > Software update** on your phone to check for updates.

### **2. Manage Bluetooth Connections**

- **Forget and Reconnect Earbuds**:
- Go to **Settings > Connections > Bluetooth**.
- Forget the earbuds and then reconnect them. This can reset the Bluetooth connection and resolve conflicts.

- **Prioritize Bluetooth Connections**:
- Some phones allow you to prioritize Bluetooth devices. Check if your phone has an option to prioritize your earbuds for calls.

### **3. Adjust Call Settings**

- **Bluetooth Call Settings**:
- Go to **Settings > Connections > Bluetooth**.
- Tap the settings icon next to your earbuds and check if there are options to manage call handling preferences.

- **Call Settings**:
- Go to **Settings > Apps > Phone** (or your default dialer app).
- Check for options like **Call forwarding**, **Call waiting**, and **Bluetooth call settings**. Ensure these are configured correctly.

### **4. Turn Off Call Waiting**

- **Disable Call Waiting**:
- Go to **Phone app > Menu (three dots) > Settings > Supplementary services**.
- Turn off **Call waiting**. This will stop the phone from switching calls automatically, which may resolve the issue with your earbuds.

### **5. Adjust Do Not Disturb and Focus Modes**

- **Do Not Disturb Settings**:
- Go to **Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb**.
- Set up exceptions for calls and notifications to avoid interruptions during calls.

- **Focus Mode**:
- If your phone has Focus mode (found in settings or quick settings), activate it to limit interruptions from other apps and calls during your primary call.

### **6. Bluetooth Permissions and App Conflicts**

- **Check Bluetooth Permissions**:
- Go to **Settings > Apps** and check permissions for apps that use Bluetooth. Ensure there are no apps conflicting with your call handling.

- **Disable Interfering Apps**:
- Apps like call blockers or third-party dialers can sometimes interfere with call handling. Temporarily disable or uninstall such apps to test if the issue resolves.

### **7. Reboot and Reset**

- **Restart Phone and Earbuds**:
- Restart your phone and earbuds to reset any temporary issues that may cause disconnections.

- **Reset Network Settings**:
- Go to **Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings**. This will reset all Bluetooth connections and may help resolve the issue.

### **8. Contact Support**

- **Device Manufacturer Support**:
- If the problem persists, contact the support team for your earbuds and your phone. There might be known issues or specific fixes available for your devices.

### **9. Test with Other Devices**

- **Test with Another Phone**:
- Pair your earbuds with a different phone to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the earbuds or your phone.

- **Test Other Earbuds**:
- Use another pair of earbuds with your phone to see if the issue continues. This can help identify if the problem lies with the phone's Bluetooth settings.

These steps should help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue of earbuds disconnecting during calls when a second call comes in. If the problem continues, further technical support from the device manufacturers may be necessary.
