S23 ultra charging issues

Hi all, 

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

 Since an update early 2024 my phone is intermittently not charging on a wired charger, wireless is fine. I've cleared the cache partition & usb storage along with a factory reset and a new software update. I've bought new plugs and 2 new leads and I'm still having this charging issue so my burning question is: does it really matter that the cable and plug are samsung approved? I'm really struggling to believe that this really matters considering the latest plug and lead I've just bought can charge my dell xps laptop and all other devices I plug it into.

Would really appreciate other opinions on this one.

Is a software problem 

So you buy the 45a charger plug

I have 2 s23 and both did the same thing after up date. Mmmmm????????

Hi I had a water sign twice come up on s23+ even though I'm pretty sure not been by any water, finally this disappeared but now won't charge. I've cleaned port out cleared cache for USB still nothing.

I am having the same problem, I can only use a wireless charger. I have done all the clear cache etc. I've been quoted £70 for a new port which i don't want to pay

This is 💯 an update that has caused this. Both mine and my husbands s23 starting displaying water detection, they've been sent off twice, charging ports replaced and still having same problems. I've spent a fortune on charging leads and plugs. Mine has been sent for inspection yet again, so I reverted back to using my s20fe, after updates this phone has now started doing exactly the same. Fast charge won't work, water detected etc, driving me mad. Can't believe  all the people that seem to be having the same issue yet samsung aren't accepting there's a software issue. I will buy a wireless charger then once my phone is paid for I'll be switching to  Apple.
