Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
Since an update early 2024 my phone is intermittently not charging on a wired charger, wireless is fine. I've cleared the cache partition & usb storage along with a factory reset and a new software update. I've bought new plugs and 2 new leads and I'm still having this charging issue so my burning question is: does it really matter that the cable and plug are samsung approved? I'm really struggling to believe that this really matters considering the latest plug and lead I've just bought can charge my dell xps laptop and all other devices I plug it into.
Would really appreciate other opinions on this one.

Cheers
Si

Further update: the same issue has randomly returned. Same lead, same plug. I'd also like to point out that this phone is not used daily and barely leaves the house (huge waste of money I hear you say) it sits on my bedside table mainly as I have a company phone that is usually glued to my ear so I just don't understand why this problem exsist. I'd kind of understand if it was constantly in and out of pockets all day and perhaps picking up dirt from various places, but it's not,it's kept in a very clean environment.
It also did the moisture detection malarkey on my last night and I just laughed - unplugged it & told it to do one.
The final straw has arrived, I think This needs to go back to samsung, I'm massively beyond samsung now when the last payment is made I won't be buying another.

Hey @Moochinabout

It's definitely quite strange this issue keeps occurring. Have you tried charging your phone whilst it's in Safe Mode, to check if this makes a difference? If not, you can do this by holding the Power button > Hold the Power off icon > Tap the Safe Mode option when it appears. Whilst in Safe Mode, please test the chargers. To exit this mode, simply restart your phone.

If you've already tried this, I would recommend arranging an inspection as soon as you're able to, via the following link: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/

Thanks for informing me. In this case, I'd definitely recommend an inspection, and you'll be able to arrange this using the link I've provided above!

Same issue here, I treat my S23U better than my anything else and it randomly jumps to "moisture detected" warning. Is it really the update issue? I see the problem is frequent and seem to be on the rise. In addition , I cant connect to my Skoda Infotainment system, need to use my wife's phone for any functionality :///

I have just started having this problem too. The charging port has not been exposed to water and is clear of debris.
