FACT: We have another year of exorbitant prices, poor (stingy) trade-in prices (for own Samsung devices...only received £210 for my Unlocked/Excellent condition S20 FE 5G?), selling our other kidney, poor performance because of bloated One UI (and i'm not even talking about benchmarks or gaming), slow battery charging & small battery capacity (for non-Ultra devices), etc. I Could go on really.
And...
STILL: NO vertical app scrolling option, NO better way to hide apps (via gestures, swipes, dial pad code), POOR Android gestures compatibility (if a 3rd-party launcher installed), NO 3rd-party icon support, SLOW fingerprint sensor, slow battery charging, and only 15% discount as a birthday present whilst others give 20% (Xiaomi) for the One UI.
WHEN WILL SAMSUNG EVER LISTEN TO CUSTOMERS AND THE CURRENT SOCIAL & WORLD SITIUATION???!

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I disagree with most of what you say.
Firstly, I did not say i am an "entitled user". Your words. not mine. I merely pointed out comparisons, facts and my own experience. Can you point which parts of the main topic were not true? I will wait.
Secondly, phones nowadays are not "luxuries" as you pointed out. They are now a necessity in order for you to live and traverse everyday life in almost all aspect. Same as an appliance. A car however is a luxury as you may not need it for everyday life.
Thirdly, how can you say that "we are falling as a people"? This reeks of negativity and conservative-backward thinking in my opinion. If you don't agree with someone doesn't mean they are wrong or arrogant or bad. In this circumstance experience speaks for itself. Thirteen years to be exact. And what about you?
The only thing I would agree with your response is that the company does not owe me anything. You are right. But as a big company surely they would have listened to their customers by now and did advance research/comparisons with other phone makers. Again I go back to the birthday discounts. Samsung offered me 15% albeit a far longer expiry date. Whilst Xiaomi offered me 20% but a bit shorter timeframe. The trade-in values for their own devices could be at the very least 20% better. £210 for a 3-year old (but recently bought as mint/unlocked/SIM-free) S20 FE 5G could be better. And don't even get me starting on the other newer devices. Samsung treats it's customers with utter contempt and disrespect.
What is the point of having these Community pages if the compony does not listen to feedbacks and complaints?
If I came as rude for calling out Samsung and telling the truth then might as well just stop making phones altogether.

I will be paying more for an Ultra device than a Plus device even with a trade-in. You don't need to be a mathematician to figure that out.

The times that one can get good deals for trade-ins are either its release date, Summer Sale, Black Friday Sale, Flash Sales or New Year Sales. I'm happy to hold on to my S20 FE 5G for now. Until software updates and better discounts come down the line. And besides cases may not be available yet. And the overall height/length of the one I wanted (S23+) is a tad smaller than my FE. I don't know what Samsung was smoking when they changed the size of the Plus models.
ATM, i'm either going to get the OnePlus 11 or a Xiaomi 12T Pro as the size is almost perfect and being flagships updates will be on par with Samsung.

And Are you happy with that value?
