FACT: We have another year of exorbitant prices, poor (stingy) trade-in prices (for own Samsung devices...only received £210 for my Unlocked/Excellent condition S20 FE 5G?), selling our other kidney, poor performance because of bloated One UI (and i'm not even talking about benchmarks or gaming), slow battery charging & small battery capacity (for non-Ultra devices), etc. I Could go on really.

And...

STILL: NO vertical app scrolling option, NO better way to hide apps (via gestures, swipes, dial pad code), POOR Android gestures compatibility (if a 3rd-party launcher installed), NO 3rd-party icon support, SLOW fingerprint sensor, slow battery charging, and only 15% discount as a birthday present whilst others give 20% (Xiaomi) for the One UI.

WHEN WILL SAMSUNG EVER LISTEN TO CUSTOMERS AND THE CURRENT SOCIAL & WORLD SITIUATION???!

If not happy with Trade-In then don't tradein. If you have an older phone trade that in for £150 and keep your S20FE5G as a backup. That's what I've done.

Hi @Gino76ph

Personally I haven't experienced issues with my Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra since launch date.

The only change I would have liked to see with the Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra was the fingerprint scanner being on the power button the same as it is on my Samsung Fold³.

I get on with that type of unlock option better than with the fingerprint scanner on my Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra > which is probably due to dry skin etc and not the fault of the actual phone 🤪

Maybe wait until the Pre Ordering has ended and then see what's offered after launch i.e deals etc.

Obviously no guarantees.

If your current phone is working fine then you have no rush at the moment 👍

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I have a newer phone the Galaxy A33 5G but an Inferior one compared to the S20 FE 5G. So I would imagine the trade-in for that phone would be low as well.

I'm not interested with the Ultra device. I don't know why you assumed that already. I'm talking about the Plus device.
There are already voices of dissent complaining about the trade-in values. It's been going for years now. I dunno if you are aware of that. Or maybe you have been living in a rock in the past few years.
If you compare the trade-in from last year, the price for specs ratio, etc. Samsung can do much much better with trade-in values really.
If you read my main thread again then you'll understand what I mean. It's just so frustrating really. Even the birthday discount is only 15%. Samsung needs to be a bit more understanding of things.

If you can't afford it you simply don't buy it. The company does not owe you anything. Every year we get the usual complaints of entitled users. Do you do the same when you have to change your home appliances or laptop? These phones are luxuries and not necessary for our survival. There are several other options at varying price ranges one needs to buy a phone. We as users should be grateful these trade ins are even being offered. You are not forced to trade in, you can sell your device privately. There are so many things wrong with your entitlement in this post is just shows how far we are falling as people.

Take a moment and reread your post and tell me you don't realise how you are coming off. It's one thing to be a bit disappointed with the offers but acting like you are owed a certain luxury by the company is just wow.

Hi, if you are wondering to buy galaxy s23 plus instead why not buy the s23 ultra with your 15% birthday discount plus you trade any broken phone 0GB storage and get another £150 pounds off. You will end up paying less than the price of galaxy s23 plus and s23 ultra comes with 12gb ram/512gb storage.
