So, I've just bought a second hand S23, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to update to One 6.0, is there a way to force an update, as the usual "software update" option in settings won't get me past 5.1, Android 13

Are you in the UK? Because it seems your version is likely a US firmware.

Normal push updates won't be possible when you are 'out of region'.

You might be able to manually program newer software using a PC application Smartswitch... but you are going to have to do some research on how to achieve that.

That's not a UK phone
Personally I would return the phone and get your money back
It's going to be a right effort to try and get an update if at all possible. As its out of it region

You may also find certain incompatibilities such as differences in the 5G bands between UK and US... perhaps also issues with google and samsung pay services.

I would also do as glenntech suggests... maybe you can send back and get them to exchange for a UK phone.

It is a bit naughty to sell a different region phone in the wrong location to be honest.

Thanks all for the help, the phone has now been returned, and will try a new (2nd hand) phone from a more reputable supplier, this time Giff Gaff (my other half recently bought a new (2nd hand) ophone from them, and that appears to be a UK spec phone, or at least the update process works on it)

Fingers crossed

I don't suppose there is a list of country codes, so that i can check when my new (2nd hand) phone arrives that i havn't been shafted again?
