Why dont my routine fire sometimes. It really frustrating someday they work some day they don't work. Do I have set something etc

What does the routine do? Maybe good to post a screenshot.

Routine is a app the you can set to turn off sound say at 9pm. Then turn back on in the morning at 7am etc automatically

Is it set like the one below ? This should work. Even better would be turn set up and turn on sleep mode, if you haven't already considered.

Since you haven't made clear exactly what you've done, it's very difficult to know how to advise.

Why don't you write step by step what your routine is; you could also take screen shots and post them here as well.

You have defined 2 different routines. Instead you could do it with one routine.

So how would I put reverse and how does it work if for instance my phone display go off at 9pm how do I reverse that. To turn display on at 7.30am

The routine will turn on at 9.15pm and remain active till 6.45am. The actions are reversed when the routine ends.

If you turn off the phone, then routine will not turn on or off till you restart the phone. With just display off, the routine will still turn on/off at/between set time.
